PAVEL HAFIZOV

An ongoing study of clouds since 2015.

Pavel Hafizov is a Latvian painter whose work is about the everlasting beauty of clouds. Clouds have been the central theme of his practice since 2015 — sacred, iconic objects that he returns to again and again, rendered in oil and acrylic in a monochrome, surrealist style.

Working from Riga, Latvia, Hafizov has held four solo exhibitions under the title "AIR" (2018, 2020, 2021, 2025), and took part in the Arte Laguna Prize at the Arsenale of Venice in 2019, receiving the Biafarin promotion award. His paintings are now held in private and corporate collections across more than a dozen countries.
